A full-frame Sony FX5 from the Cinema Line offering internal 16-bit RAW recording, Open Gate mode, and 32-bit float audio, available for rent in a complete kit with media and extra power supplies.

  • Image and sensor: Stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor (16.6 effective megapixels) and BIONZ XR2 processor. Over 15 stops of dynamic range (S-Log3) and a triple base ISO (800, 4000, 12800) for maximum flexibility in difficult lighting.
  • Formats and frame rates: Internal 16-bit X-OCN RAW and XAVC S-I (up to 600 Mbps) recording. Full sensor readout in Open Gate mode with frame rates up to 120 fps in 5K (3:2) and up to 240 fps in 4K.
  • AF and Stabilization: A 759-point AI-based Fast Hybrid AF system ensuring reliable eye tracking. Integrated 5-axis stabilization with the new “Dynamic Active” mode for dynamic handheld shooting.
  • Audio: The included top handle module offers two XLR/TRS connectors and allows for recording 4 audio channels in a lossless 32-bit float format (96 kHz).
  • Ergonomics: Active cooling to prevent overheating, a full-size HDMI port, and two USB-C ports supporting Power Delivery (PD) and timecode.
  • Kit contents: In addition to the camera body and audio module, you will receive a supply of dedicated, high-speed memory cards (CFexpress Type A / SDXC) and a set of additional NP-SA100 batteries, each providing up to 170 minutes of continuous recording.
